Much of Rebecca Loke’s Ipoh childhood was spent concocting rebecca1tales for her fellow youngsters’ listening pleasure. After graduating with a mass communications degree from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 1997, she began a career in publishing.

Her Rhythm and Rhymes series, a collection of rhymes for children centered on the themes of nature, marine life, games and culture, marked her debut as author.

Great-grandma’s Hair Loss Remedy was inspired by the spirited way her son Ethan handles his predicament with alopecia universalis.

She is currently working on her next book for the Media Masters Publishing series on Understanding Children’s Concerns. Each title of this special series of children’s books is aimed at helping young minds gain an early understanding and appreciation of difficulties and differences existing in societies everywhere.

Rebecca Loke lives in Kuala Lumpur with her husband and two children.
